Chief Minister M.K. Stalin officially rolled out the historic ten-millionth automobile manufactured by Hyundai Motor India at its state-of-the-art production facility in Sriperumbudur. Celebrating this momentous industrial production milestone, Stalin extended hearty congratulations to the leadership, engineers, and factory workforce of the South Korean automotive major, which has transformed the automotive manufacturing landscape of Tamil Nadu over the past quarter of a century.
Recalling the pioneering vision of former Chief Minister Muthamizharignar Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi, Stalin highlighted that it was the DMK administration in 1996 that successfully brought Hyundai massive investment to Tamil Nadu, laying the foundational cornerstone for Chennai emergence as the Detroit of South Asia. The Chief Minister declared that his government overarching economic ambition is to steer Tamil Nadu to the premier rank in global industrial manufacturing, electric vehicle adoption, and skilled industrial employment. He assured industrial captains of uninterrupted logistical infrastructure, skilled manpower, and progressive investor-friendly governance.
Stalin presence at this landmark manufacturing ceremony reaffirmed investor confidence in the newly elected DMK administration. By commemorating long-standing industrial partnerships and projecting a vibrant future for automotive exports, his leadership reinforced Tamil Nadu position as South Asia preeminent manufacturing hub.
