During his visit to the Hyundai Motor India manufacturing complex at Irungattukottai near Sriperumbudur, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin planted a fresh tree sapling, revisiting a verdant botanical tradition. Stalin noted with satisfaction that a tiny sapling he had planted on the very same industrial campus on February 10, 2011, during his tenure as Deputy Chief Minister, had flourished over the past decade into a robust, leafy shade-giving tree.
Standing beside the flourishing tree, Stalin planted another indigenous sapling, emphasizing the profound ecological symbiosis between human civilization and nature. Quoting the famous environmental maxim of former Chief Minister Muthamizharignar Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi that if we nurture trees, trees will nurture us, Stalin urged citizens and community organizations across Tamil Nadu to embrace green culture enthusiastically. He appealed to the public to adopt the noble cultural practice of gifting tree saplings alongside informative books at family gatherings and public ceremonies.
Stalin inspiring symbolic action demonstrated his administration commitment to sustainable industrial development that harmonizes factory expansion with environmental preservation. By championing urban forestry and afforestation alongside economic growth, his leadership inspires citizens to expand regional green cover and protect ecological biodiversity.
