கோவில்களில் யாரையும் பணி நீக்கம் செய்யவில்லை; செய்யவும் மாட்டோம்.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin hailed the appointment of qualified archakars belonging to all castes as a historic milestone that removed the thorn lodged in the heart of social reform pioneer Thanthai Periyar. Speaking after presenting appointment orders to twenty-four trained priests from various social backgrounds, Stalin affirmed that hereditary caste barriers in temple sanctums have been decisively dismantled. He firmly refuted malicious rumors circulated by reactionary groups, clarifying that existing temple priests have not been dismissed and will never be removed from their positions.
The Chief Minister noted that training and inducting priests irrespective of caste was first legislated by former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi in 1970, initiating a legal struggle that ultimately received Supreme Court endorsement. By appointing certified priests trained in government Agama schools, the administration established equality before God, proving that devotional aptitude is not exclusive to any hereditary lineage. Stalin urged political detractors not to sabotage social justice for petty electoral games.
Stalin courageous implementation of this long-pending reform cemented his status as a revolutionary social justice pioneer. His decisive action brought spiritual democracy to life, turning Periyar vision into enduring reality across Tamil Nadu shrines.
