Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the one-year rigorous professional training course for newly recruited Sub-Inspectors of Police at the Tamil Nadu Police Academy in Oonamanchery near Chennai. Addressing the incoming cadet batch, Stalin urged the trainee officers to cultivate empathy, integrity, and impartial dedication to the rule of law. He emphasized that the primary responsibility of police officers is to protect vulnerable citizens, maintain communal harmony, and ensure that justice is accessible without fear or favor across every police station.
The comprehensive training syllabus encompasses criminal law, scientific crime investigation, cyber forensic analysis, human rights education, modern weapon handling, and community policing techniques. Stalin underscored that physical strength must be matched by emotional intelligence and ethical conduct when interacting with the general public. He directed senior training officials to instill a people-friendly ethos among young officers, transforming police stations into welcoming institutions where ordinary citizens receive prompt, courteous assistance.
Stalin personal participation in launching the police training curriculum reflected his commitment to professionalizing the state law enforcement machinery. By emphasizing ethical standards, technological expertise, and humane policing methods, his governance strengthens public confidence in institutional justice across Tamil Nadu.
