Chief Minister M.K. Stalin made a historic visit to Pappapatti village in Madurai district on Gandhi Jayanti to participate directly in the local Grama Sabha meeting. Pappapatti holds deep symbolic significance in Tamil Nadu democratic history as a reserved panchayat that previously witnessed long struggles to establish constitutional representation. Stalin sat among village residents, listened attentively to their petitions, and sanctioned immediate infrastructure projects to upgrade local drinking water networks, street lighting, and community facilities.

Following the Grama Sabha deliberations, Stalin traveled to neighboring K. Nattapatti, where he distributed subsidized agricultural crop loan cheques to local farmers to bolster farming productivity and ease rural debt pressures. The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the DMK government functions solely to advance the welfare, dignity, and economic security of all citizens, particularly rural agriculturists and disadvantaged rural communities.
