Chief Minister M.K. Stalin dispatched an urgent letter to Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya, demanding the immediate release and dispatch of Tamil Nadu requisite quota of fertilizers ahead of the crucial Northeast Monsoon cultivation season. Quoting the classical Tamil proverb affirming that agriculture is the paramount occupation upon which all human existence hinges, Stalin highlighted that timely agricultural inputs and essential soil nutrients are indispensable to secure robust crop yields.
The Chief Minister stressed that agriculturalists across the Cauvery delta and other agrarian districts are actively engaged in preparatory farming operations for the Samba and Thaladi paddy cycles. Any deficit or delay in the supply of urea, diammonium phosphate, and potash would severely handicap farm operations and jeopardize farmer livelihoods. Stalin urged the Union Ministry to prioritize the state allocation without administrative bottlenecks, ensuring smooth distribution through primary agricultural cooperative credit societies.
Stalin timely advocacy highlights his vigilant leadership and deep personal concern for the farming community welfare. By anticipating supply pinches before peak sowing commenced, he took decisive steps to protect agricultural productivity and farm household revenues. Stalin administration continues to uphold agriculture as a priority sector, defending farmer rights across state and national forums.
