Chief Minister M.K. Stalin undertook a rigorous, full-day field inspection across numerous severely inundated sectors of Chennai, assessing the damage caused by relentless monsoon downpours and supervising rescue and relief operations firsthand. In the morning, Stalin toured waterlogged neighborhoods across Egmore, Padi, Kolathur, Otteri, and Perambur. Later in the evening, he continued inspections across southern sectors, including Saidapet, Kotturpuram, and Velachery.
At each destination, the Chief Minister walked through waterlogged residential streets to witness the ground reality faced by ordinary citizens. Visiting numerous temporary relief camps set up in government schools and community halls, Stalin personally handed over food packets, mats, bedsheets, drinking water bottles, and essential relief kits to displaced families. He interacted with elderly residents and mothers, reassuring them that the government will look after their every necessity until they can safely return home.
Stalin instructed local authorities to expedite dewatering operations and organize mobile medical camps in all affected localities. His comprehensive day-long tour across diverse parts of the metropolis provided reassurance to anxious citizens, demonstrating unwavering dedication and leadership in the service of Tamil Nadu people.
