Chief Minister M.K. Stalin continued his intensive flood relief inspection tour across North Chennai, visiting waterlogged neighborhoods across Royapuram, Harbour, Perambur, and Thiru Vi Ka Nagar assembly constituencies. Walking through narrow lanes and low-lying residential settlements, Stalin inspected stagnant water discharge operations, interacted warmly with residents, and personally handed over food packets, dry rations, and essential domestic supplies to affected families.
The Chief Minister paid special attention to densely populated working-class localities that historically suffered neglect during severe seasonal flooding. Stalin instructed the Greater Chennai Corporation and Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) to coordinate closely, ensuring that submerged power transformers are safely repaired and electricity connections restored promptly to prevent accidents. Additional suction trucks and dewatering tractors were directed to waterlogged streets.
Stalin affirmed that every wing of the state administration remains fully mobilized and operating with heightened alertness to prevent disruptions to everyday civic life. He urged municipal authorities to maintain constant contact with resident welfare associations and community volunteers. Stalin compassionate outreach across North Chennai reinforced his administration foundational pledge to protect marginalized working-class neighborhoods during climatic crises.
