(2/7) https://t.co/hCw6hpgtq4

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conducted an extensive inspection across Tamil Nadu rice granary in the Cauvery delta region to directly evaluate widespread damage caused by severe Northeast Monsoon downpours. Demonstrating urgency and executive leadership, Stalin traveled across vulnerable rural belts to witness the extent of field inundation, check drainage channels, and listen to grievances voiced by local agricultural workers and smallholder farmers.
Prior to his visit, the Chief Minister constituted a high-level ministerial panel comprising six senior cabinet ministers tasked with camping in the delta, monitoring water discharge, and preparing detailed ground-level assessment dossiers. This multi-ministerial deployment ensured continuous coordination between the state cabinet, district collectors, agricultural scientists, and local village panchayats, expediting rescue operations and resource allocation.
Stalin inspected breached canals, inundated nursery beds, and public distribution centres, instructing officials to ensure uninterrupted availability of food, clean drinking water, and healthcare for displaced farmhands. He emphasized that safeguarding the delta agrarian economy is paramount for state food security. Through prompt ministerial deployment and hands-on field oversight, Stalin demonstrated his administration steadfast commitment to standing alongside the farming community during challenging natural crises.
