Chief Minister M.K. Stalin reaffirmed that the DMK government protects the welfare of farmers as its very lifeblood, promising unconditional administrative support to help the agricultural community overcome severe flood devastation. Reaching out through an official communication following field reviews of submerged paddy tracts, Stalin assured distressed growers that the state administration will stand firmly by their side with swift relief measures and financial assistance.
The Chief Minister highlighted the historical bond between the DMK and the farming peasantry, noting that agrarian prosperity remains the bedrock of Tamil Nadu economic stability. Stalin directed revenue and agricultural departments to carry out village-level field enumerations with utmost transparency and speed, ensuring no impacted cultivator is excluded from government compensation packages.
Stalin announced that the state will supply quality seeds, subsidized fertilizers, and input subsidies to facilitate immediate re-sowing across fields where standing crops were irreparably drowned. He emphasized that government policies must proactively insulate smallholders against climatic vulnerabilities. Through continuous personal engagement and responsive administrative machinery, Stalin sought to instill renewed confidence among rural farmers struggling against seasonal nature fury across the Cauvery delta.
