#FarmLaws
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin warmly welcomed the announcement made by the Prime Minister regarding the decision to repeal the three contentious central farm enactments, hailing it as an absolute triumph for the non-violent, democratic struggle of India farming community. Stalin remarked that the historic rollback serves as a testament to the unyielding spirit of agrarian families who stood resolute against executive obstinacy, braving extreme weather, economic privations, and police repression for over a year at Delhi borders.
The Chief Minister asserted that in a true constitutional democracy, the aspirations, grievances, and collective voice of the people must always be respected by the ruling dispensation. He noted that the history of democratic nations repeatedly illustrates that no executive policy, however aggressively promoted, can endure if it lacks popular legitimacy and harms the livelihood interests of the working masses.
Stalin recalled that Tamil Nadu was among the foremost states to pass a unanimous legislative assembly resolution demanding the immediate withdrawal of the farm legislations. He pledged that the DMK government will persistently advocate for agrarian autonomy, equitable procurement prices, and legal guarantees for farmers welfare, ensuring that democratic governance remains forever accountable to its people.
