Addressing the flagship Connect 2021 international conference organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry in Chennai, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin unveiled the ambitious Tamil Nadu Data Centre Policy 2021. Stalin emphasized that the information technology and digital services sector will play a central, catalytic role in transforming Tamil Nadu into a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2030, fostering high-value employment opportunities and sustainable industrial growth across Tier-I and Tier-II cities.
The newly released policy framework provides lucrative investment incentives, reliable green energy provisions, robust telecommunication bandwidth, and single-window clearance mechanisms to attract global tech conglomerates and hyperscale data center operators to set up facilities across the state. Stalin declared that Tamil Nadu possesses unmatched advantages, including submarine cable landing stations, skilled engineering talent, and stable governance, making it the preferred destination for digital infrastructure in South Asia.
The Chief Minister reiterated his administration resolve to establish Tamil Nadu as the preeminent knowledge capital and technology hub of India. By combining progressive policy incentives with world-class digital connectivity, Stalin initiative positions the state at the forefront of global technological innovation and enterprise investment.
