Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed pride and gratitude after Tamil Nadu was ranked first among India best-performing large states in the prestigious annual 'State of the States' survey conducted by India Today magazine. The comprehensive survey evaluated states across crucial development parameters, including economic governance, infrastructure expansion, healthcare delivery, educational outcomes, social welfare, and law and order maintenance across regions.
Welcoming the national recognition, Stalin credited the dedicated service of government officials, healthcare workers, teachers, and citizens who contributed to the state administrative excellence. He noted that achieving the top rank within months of assuming office validated the progressive governance model of the DMK administration, which balances economic enterprise with social justice principles.
Stalin pledged that the administration will work with renewed determination under the banner of #No1TamilNadu to retain this premier position. He acknowledged the substantial fiscal debt inherited from previous regimes and resolved to engineer a robust financial revival through prudent financial management and industrial growth. The Chief Minister affirmed that Tamil Nadu will continue setting national benchmarks in public welfare, industrial investment, and inclusive social development across sectors.
