Demonstrating firm commitment to labor welfare and skill development, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presided over a major welfare distribution ceremony organized by the Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department. Stalin disbursed financial assistance packages to 50,721 registered members of various unorganised workers' welfare boards across Tamil Nadu, handing over cheques symbolically to seven representative beneficiaries.
The comprehensive welfare package covers essential social security benefits, including educational scholarships for workers' children, old-age pensions, marriage assistance, maternity benefits, and accidental death relief. Stalin pointed out that unorganised laborers form the foundational bedrock of the state economy, and guaranteeing their social security stands as a primary duty of the government.
Simultaneously, the Chief Minister inaugurated newly constructed modern workshop buildings and smart classrooms at several Government Industrial Training Institutes across Tamil Nadu. These advanced vocational facilities provide industry-aligned technical training to youth, enhancing their employability in high-growth manufacturing sectors.
Through combined social security disbursements and technical education infrastructure upgrades, Stalin reinforced his administration inclusive growth strategy. His proactive policies provide essential protections for working-class families while creating high-value skill opportunities for young learners throughout the state.
