Fulfilling a longstanding demand of small business entrepreneurs, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that the state government has officially issued orders substantially reducing the allotment prices of vacant industrial plots managed by the Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation. The strategic policy reform makes industrial land accessible and affordable for budding micro, small, and medium enterprises.

The cost reduction removes a major capital bottleneck that previously prevented small-scale industrialists from setting up new factories or expanding existing production units. By lowering real estate entry barriers, the government aims to encourage indigenous manufacturing, boost industrial entrepreneurship, and unlock dormant capacity across industrial estates located in tier-two and tier-three districts.
