This year's slogan for #HumanRightsDay is #AllHumanAllEqual.
It's precisely what the great Tamil sage Thiruvalluvar stressed 2000+ years ago in his couplet 'Pirappokkum ellaa uyirkkum' and the one that forms the bedrock of Dravidian Movement. Let's uphold it! https://t.co/TYzsw8SGE8

On the occasion of international Human Rights Day, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a resonant message connecting the United Nations global theme of universal equality with ancient Tamil ethical literature and modern Dravidian political philosophy. He highlighted that true human dignity requires dismantling structural inequalities based on birth, caste, religion, and gender.
Stalin cited the immortal couplet of Tamil philosopher Thiruvalluvar, which proclaimed over two millennia ago that all human beings are born equal by birth. He explained that this ancient ethical principle formed the ideological foundation of the Self-Respect Movement founded by Periyar E.V. Ramasamy, which transformed Tamil Nadu into a pioneer of social justice.
The Chief Minister called upon citizens to defend constitutional liberties and uphold civil rights amidst rising intolerance. He reiterated that his administration governing philosophy, the Dravidian Model, translates human rights from philosophical abstractions into concrete policy through social welfare, equitable education, and inclusive governance.
By anchoring international human rights in indigenous philosophical traditions, Stalin presented a progressive vision of inclusive society. His message reinforced Tamil Nadu commitment to equality, urging collective dedication to protect democratic principles and civic equality.
