Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for an expansive SIPCOT industrial park spanning 383 acres at E. Kumaralingapuram in Virudhunagar district. The ambitious industrial development project is designed to accelerate industrialization across southern Tamil Nadu, attract domestic and global manufacturing investments, and create thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities for educated rural youth. Stalin highlighted that decentralized industrial growth remains a central pillar of the state's economic transformation vision.
The upcoming SIPCOT estate will offer state-of-the-art infrastructure, including uninterrupted power connections, internal four-lane road networks, comprehensive drainage, advanced effluent management systems, and plug-and-play facilities for emerging enterprises. Stalin noted that establishing world-class industrial corridors outside metropolitan Chennai ensures balanced regional economic development, preventing distress migration to big cities. The complex will accommodate varied non-polluting manufacturing units, food processing ventures, and precision engineering industries.
Stalin asserted that Tamil Nadu is rapidly advancing toward becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy through transparent single-window clearances and investor-friendly policies. His foundation laying ceremony signaled strong executive momentum in expanding industrial capability and creating sustainable, dignified industrial jobs across the southern districts of Tamil Nadu.
