Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conducted surprise nighttime field inspections of road improvement projects in Chennai, personally examining ongoing bituminous laying and surface leveling at Warren Road and Mahalingapuram. Simultaneously reviewing rural infrastructure progress, Stalin announced that comprehensive repair works are advancing steadily across 650 kilometers of damaged roads in village panchayats throughout Tamil Nadu.
During his field visit, the Chief Minister inspected asphalt application quality, checked whether proper milling was executed, and interacted directly with field engineers and site supervisors. He instructed Chennai Corporation authorities to ensure smooth road finishes that facilitate safe vehicular movement and eliminate hazardous potholes. Regarding rural connectivity, Stalin noted that village roadways damaged by intense monsoon deluges are being restored rapidly to restore smooth connectivity between agricultural hamlets, market centers, and rural health clinics.
Stalin highlighted that durable transport links are fundamental to rural economic vitality and urban productivity. He urged supervising engineers to maintain strict oversight, adhere to established completion timetables, and prevent inconvenience to motorists during construction. Stalin reaffirmed his government's commitment to building high-quality, weather-resilient road infrastructure across urban wards and rural panchayats alike.
