Chief Minister M.K. Stalin chaired an extensive consultative meeting of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department advisory committee in Chennai, engaging with prominent spiritual leaders, scholars, and officials on temple modernization. The discussions focused on enhancing civic amenities for devotees, refining financial management systems in shrine administrations, and launching a coordinated drive to preserve valuable spiritual heritage across the state.

Stalin highlighted the urgent need to protect rare religious texts, copper-plate inscriptions, and ancient palm-leaf manuscripts preserved in historical temple archives. He directed officials to collaborate with conservation experts to scientifically restore and digitize these invaluable records for future generations. The Chief Minister also reviewed proposals to construct spacious pilgrim rest houses, upgrade sanitation blocks, and provide hygienic drinking water facilities at pilgrimage centers throughout Tamil Nadu.

The Chief Minister stressed that temples must operate with exemplary financial discipline, ensuring that revenue generated from devotee donations and temple properties is utilized transparently for shrine upkeep and welfare programs.
