I have informed Hon'ble Union Minister Thiru @nitin_gadkari about the various initiatives taken by Govt of Tamil Nadu about prompt implementation of NHAI projects in the state. I have also highlighted areas where NHAI can do better to ensure completion of projects. https://t.co/GH3woLOfqJ

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin engaged in detailed discussions with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, outlining the proactive initiatives undertaken by the state government to expedite National Highways Authority of India projects across Tamil Nadu. Stalin pointed out that the state administrative machinery has streamlined land acquisition procedures, expedited environmental clearances, and mobilized district revenue teams to resolve field bottlenecks promptly.
The Chief Minister highlighted key operational areas where the National Highways Authority of India needs to enhance project coordination, contractor management, and engineering execution to prevent prolonged project delays. Stalin stressed that modern, well-maintained arterial highways are vital for sustaining Tamil Nadu's industrial manufacturing growth, agricultural marketing corridors, and port connectivity. He emphasized that timely completion of major highway corridors such as the Chennai-Bengaluru expressway and Madurai-Dhanushkodi expansion will drastically reduce logistics costs and improve road commuter safety.
Stalin assured the Union Minister that Tamil Nadu will continue extending full institutional cooperation to highway development agencies. He urged the Union Ministry to address design bottlenecks swiftly and ensure that national highway stretches meet high standards of safety and maintenance.
