Campaigning ahead of urban local body polls in Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin urged citizens to back Secular Progressive Alliance candidates, drawing a sharp contrast between his administration's active delivery and the previous ten-year AIADMK rule. Stalin pointed out that the previous government left crucial promises unfulfilled, stalling municipal growth, failing to resolve urban flooding, and neglecting civic infrastructure across coastal towns.
In contrast, the Chief Minister presented the tangible achievements recorded by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam government within its first nine months in office. He highlighted emergency cash relief distribution, free bus travel for women commuters, and substantial funding allocations for storm-water drains and cyclone rehabilitation across Cuddalore. Stalin noted that timely administrative interventions had revitalized agriculture, fisheries, and small businesses in the district following severe pandemic disruptions.
Stalin called on voters to elect dedicated councilors who would work hand-in-hand with state departments to address neighborhood demands. He assured residents that electing progressive municipal representatives will guarantee clean drinking water supply, upgraded healthcare clinics, and transparent town planning, transforming Cuddalore into a well-governed and prosperous coastal district for all communities.
