Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin drew a sharp philosophical contrast between progressive democratic governance and superficial political posturing, asserting that a nation is defined by its living citizens rather than mere territorial geography. Speaking on democratic responsibilities, Stalin criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party and its ally the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, accusing them of staging deceptive political splits to mislead the voting public while pursuing anti-people agendas.
Stalin explained that the Dravidian movement has always measured national progress by the welfare, health, education, and social dignity enjoyed by ordinary working people. While authoritarian forces reduce patriotism to slogans and centralize power, his administration works tirelessly to uplift marginalized communities through inclusive economic growth, affirmative action, and robust federal autonomy. He observed that genuine patriotism demands defending the constitutional rights of diverse linguistic groups.
The Chief Minister called on voters across Tamil Nadu to reject reactionary alliances decisively in the urban local body elections. He emphasized that defeating divisive politics at the grassroots level will strengthen democratic accountability and ensure transparent municipal governance dedicated to citizen welfare.
