Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin joined school students and visiting families along Chennai's Marina Beach to inspect the state's Republic Day tableau, which had been unjustly excluded from the national parade in New Delhi. Stalin posed for photographs and joyful selfies with enthusiastic school children, observing that the tableau celebrating Tamil freedom fighters had won an irreplaceable place in the hearts of the people.
Following its exclusion by the central committee, the Chief Minister directed the vibrant tableau—which honors iconic anti-colonial luminaries including Veerapandiya Kattabomman, Rani Velu Nachiyar, Maruthu Pandiyar brothers, and Mahakavi Subramania Bharati—to tour every district across the state. Stalin remarked that public acclaim and massive student interest during the statewide tour proved that regional historical contributions cannot be obscured by bureaucratic rejections. The display educated thousands of young learners regarding Tamil Nadu's pivotal leadership in the freedom struggle.
Reaffirming his administration's commitment to honoring regional historical heroes, Stalin emphasized that true national unity recognizes and respects diverse anti-colonial movements. He stated that educating future generations about Tamil martyrs fosters collective self-respect, patriotic consciousness, and democratic pride throughout Tamil Nadu.
