Reflecting on the commencement of his public life on the occasion of launching his autobiography, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president M.K. Stalin recalled that from the day he was born as the son of Muthamizharignar Kalaignar, the Dravidian movement has been his life breath. He highlighted that holding the party flag at the young age of thirteen marked the beginning of an unbroken lifetime dedicated completely to grassroots social service.

Stalin recounted how growing up amidst the vibrant debates, grassroots campaigns, and historic struggles of the Dravidian movement shaped his worldview from childhood. Rather than seeking privileges, he embraced regular cadre responsibilities, participating in street-corner gatherings, distributing publications, organizing student wings, and standing alongside ordinary workers. These hands-on experiences instilled a deep respect for collective party discipline and empathetic public engagement.

The DMK leader emphasized that his dedication to public welfare remains unchanged after more than five decades of relentless political struggle. He reiterated that serving the people of Tamil Nadu is not merely a political vocation but a sacred personal duty inherited from ideological pioneers, promising to maintain that same tireless dedication as Chief Minister.
