(1/3) https://t.co/qbDgISEgYo

DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed profound remorse and tendered an unconditional apology to the leaders of allied parties following reports that several DMK councillors contested against official coalition candidates in indirect local body elections. Invoking C.N. Annadurai foundational motto of Duty, Dignity, and Discipline, Stalin stated that he felt deeply pained and diminished by the breach of political ethics committed by errant party members.
Stalin firmly rejected the notion that capturing civic posts through unauthorized contests against coalition partners represented any form of political achievement. He emphasized that genuine political strength lies in honoring commitments, respecting allies, and upholding democratic principles. The DMK president assured alliance leaders that swift corrective action would be taken to rectify the unauthorized victories and restore agreed power-sharing arrangements.
Stalin reiterated that the secular alliance in Tamil Nadu is rooted in a collective struggle for social justice, constitutional rights, and public welfare. He reminded all party cadres that personal ambition must never undermine mutual trust among democratic partners, directing local party units to maintain absolute harmony and mutual respect with allied parties across all districts.
