Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin acknowledged the successful border extraction and transit operations that enabled hundreds of Tamil students to escape war zones in Ukraine. Stalin attributed the smooth evacuation to proactive administrative measures taken by the state government, including deploying special liaison delegations of legislators and senior bureaucrats to border checkpoints in neighboring Eastern European countries.
The Chief Minister extended sincere gratitude to all embassy officials, diplomatic staff, volunteer networks, and state coordination officers who facilitated safe passage across congested international frontiers. He noted that the state government provided emergency transit shelters, hot meals, consular documentation, and domestic flight connections from national transit hubs, ensuring that arriving students experienced seamless travel back to their hometowns without financial stress.
Stalin reaffirmed that the state administration remains fully committed to continuing humanitarian rescue operations until every stranded scholar is safely reunited with their family. He reiterated that Tamil Nadu will continue working closely with the Union government and international agencies, providing all necessary logistical and financial support to protect the lives and welfare of its overseas citizens during times of international conflict.
