Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin personally received and interacted with returning medical and higher education students who arrived in Chennai after being evacuated from war-torn Ukraine. When emotional students and relieved parents conveyed their heartfelt gratitude for the swift rescue mission, Stalin responded that safeguarding citizens during international crises is the fundamental moral duty of the state government. He affirmed that the administration will not rest until every single stranded scholar is safely brought home.
The Chief Minister assured the returning students that the state government is actively pursuing all necessary diplomatic and administrative measures to ensure their academic studies continue uninterrupted in India. Stalin emphasized that unexpected geopolitical conflicts must not derail years of dedicated medical preparation and financial sacrifice endured by aspiring scholars and their working families.
Stalin highlighted that the state administration established round-the-clock emergency coordination desks, deployed special ministerial teams to overseas border crossings, and arranged fully funded transit to bring students back to their home districts. He reiterated that Tamil Nadu remains steadfastly committed to defending the safety, academic security, and future aspirations of all young scholars.
