Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin received the final contingent of Tamil students repatriated safely from war-torn Ukraine upon their arrival at Chennai airport. Welcoming the students home, Stalin expressed relief over the successful rescue of all scholars from conflict zones through coordinated evacuation operations. He assured anxious students and parents that the state government stands firmly behind them as they navigate subsequent academic disruptions caused by overseas war.
The Chief Minister renewed an urgent appeal to the Union government and the National Medical Commission to formulate an extraordinary accommodation framework allowing returning medical students to continue their clinical studies within domestic universities. Stalin affirmed that Tamil Nadu will provide complete administrative cooperation and institutional capacity to help students complete their medical degrees without loss of valuable academic years.
Stalin emphasized that unexpected international crises must not destroy the dreams and hard work of young medical aspirants. The state government remains dedicated to advocating for policy interventions at the national level, ensuring that displaced scholars secure appropriate domestic pathways to finish their clinical training and serve society with medical dedication and excellence.
