It was a joyous occasion meeting our MPs in the Parliament. Am feeling assured that their voice in the Parliament will continue to amplify the clarion call for state rights.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin held a vibrant coordination meeting with party Members of Parliament at the Parliament House complex in New Delhi. The gathering provided an opportunity for Stalin to review the legislative performance of DMK lawmakers in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha during the ongoing parliamentary session. Stalin expressed immense pride in the proactive role played by party MPs in raising issues concerning regional welfare and constitutional democracy.
The Chief Minister affirmed his total confidence that DMK parliamentarians will continue to serve as the unyielding voice of the people of Tamil Nadu in the national legislature. He instructed the parliamentary delegation to vigorously pursue crucial state demands, including total exemption from the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, release of pending central financial allocations, and protection of federal rights against central encroachment. Stalin emphasized that parliamentary debates must reflect grassroots regional aspirations.
Stalin reminded the lawmakers that their primary duty is to safeguard state autonomy, linguistic rights, and secularism against authoritarian centralizing tendencies. He commended their articulate parliamentary interventions, urging them to maintain unified pressure on central ministries to secure justice and developmental funds for Tamil Nadu.
