Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presided over the release of two significant literary and political volumes during the inauguration of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam national office in New Delhi. The released works included Karunanidhi: A Life authored by senior writer Cholamandal Panneerselvam and A Dravidian Journey penned by State Planning Commission Vice Chairman J. Jeyaranjan. Stalin highlighted that these books provide invaluable insights into the socioeconomic and political transformation of Tamil Nadu under Dravidian governance.
Addressing national leaders, journalists, and intellectuals at the gathering, Stalin emphasized that scholarly works grounded in rigorous research are essential to counter distorted historical narratives. The volumes trace the historic struggle for social justice, linguistic equality, and backward-class empowerment championed by Kalaignar Karunanidhi throughout his seven-decade public career. Stalin observed that chronicling these progressive struggles helps new generations understand how evidence-based social policies built Tamil Nadu into an economic and human development powerhouse.
The Chief Minister called upon historians and sociologists to produce more insightful publications reflecting the ideological journey of southern regional movements. Stalin affirmed that documenting progressive governance models enriches democratic discourse nationwide, inspiring future policymakers across India.
