Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin shared live audiovisual proceedings of the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Lotus Footwear Industrial Park situated at Tindivanam in Viluppuram district. The major industrial event drew senior government dignitaries, industrial promoters, and local community representatives to inaugurate a premier manufacturing complex. Stalin livestreamed the ceremony to allow citizens across Tamil Nadu to witness the state proactive push toward industrializing underdeveloped northern districts.

Speaking at the ceremony, Stalin explained that the cutting-edge non-leather footwear cluster will attract hundreds of crores in private capital and create thousands of direct jobs for local youths, especially rural women. He emphasized that establishing modern manufacturing plants outside major urban centers prevents forced migration and spurs rural commerce. The facility incorporates modern manufacturing machinery, green industrial standards, and dedicated vocational training bays to upskill local workers into proficient industrial technicians.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the Dravidian model of governance focuses on distributed economic prosperity. He expressed confidence that Tindivanam will emerge as a key industrial hub, assuring industrialists of seamless single-window clearances, reliable infrastructure, and robust administrative support to ensure the venture rapid commissioning and enduring commercial success.
