Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin shared live audiovisual proceedings of the state launch of specialized mobile medical units in Chennai. The ceremonial event marked the deployment of state-of-the-art mobile hospital vehicles designed to deliver primary healthcare directly to citizens across remote villages and urban settlements. Stalin broadcast the event so that citizens throughout the state could witness the ongoing expansion of the government flagship doorstep healthcare delivery system.
Addressing health administrators and medical practitioners during the broadcast, Stalin outlined how the mobile clinics complement the Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam scheme. The vehicles are outfitted with modern testing equipment for non-communicable diseases, basic diagnostic labs, and temperature-controlled storage for essential medications. Qualified medical teams stationed on these vehicles conduct regular checkups for chronic illnesses, ensuring that elderly and mobility-impaired patients receive continuous treatment without traveling long distances.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed that healthcare remains a fundamental human right under the Dravidian model of governance. He expressed pride that Tamil Nadu continues to pioneer patient-centric medical models, assuring citizens that the administration will persistently upgrade rural health infrastructure, eliminate regional disparities, and safeguard public wellness across every district in the state.
