Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin met Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, Madurai Member of Parliament Su. Venkatesan, and senior party functionaries in Kannur, Kerala. The cordial meeting took place on the sidelines of the 23rd Party Congress, where leaders discussed pressing democratic issues and federal principles. Stalin expressed immense happiness at interacting with key leftist figures committed to social equity and working-class rights.
Following the bilateral interaction, Stalin announced that he would deliver a keynote address at a special seminar focusing on Union-State relations. He highlighted that federalism remains the bedrock of Indian democracy, underscoring the urgent necessity of protecting state autonomy against creeping central encroachment. Stalin informed the public that his speech would be streamed live across his official social media platforms, inviting citizens to follow the proceedings directly.
The Chief Minister emphasized that regional coordination between like-minded democratic parties is crucial to preserving constitutional federalism. Stalin reiterated that Tamil Nadu will continue to champion cooperative governance, ensuring that the collective voice of southern states resonates powerfully in national deliberations on autonomy and fiscal decentralization.
