Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered a special address at the 23rd Party Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) held in Kannur, Kerala. Sharing the national stage with prominent left leaders, Stalin emphasized that safeguarding state autonomy and constitutional federalism requires sustained unity among democratic forces. He pointed out that regional diversity forms the true backbone of the Indian Union and must be respected by the Union government.
Stalin articulated his Dravidian model governance philosophy, noting that progressive states require legislative and financial freedom to deliver effective grassroots welfare. He highlighted that over-centralization of administrative power harms regional development and dilutes public welfare delivery. Stalin urged national and regional parties to present a united front in defense of state rights, cooperative federalism, and secular principles across India.
The Chief Minister stressed that collaborative political solidarity remains vital to counter attempts at imposing uniformity across diverse linguistic communities. Stalin reiterated his administration steadfast commitment to social justice, state autonomy, and inclusive democratic governance, receiving warm applause from delegates across the country for his principled national leadership on federal rights.
