Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed an immense gathering at the 23rd Party Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) held in Kannur, Kerala, delivering a major speech on Union-State relations. Speaking before a vast assembly of communist comrades that resembled a red sea, Stalin expressed gratitude for the warm fraternal reception. He noted that shared commitments to social justice, secularism, and state rights form the foundation of DMK and Left solidarity.
The Chief Minister delivered a comprehensive analysis of federal dynamics in India, critiquing the erosion of fiscal autonomy, misuse of gubernatorial offices, and centralization of educational policy by the Union government. He emphasized that cooperative federalism must not remain a rhetorical slogan, but must be translated into genuine devolution of powers to elected state administrations. Stalin stressed that regional and progressive parties must present a united front to safeguard constitutional democracy.
Stalin concluded his historic Kannur address with revolutionary red salutations to the CPI(M) leadership and delegates. He reaffirmed Tamil Nadu unwavering support for joint democratic struggles, pledging to work alongside progressive movements across India to defend the federal structure.
