The Chief Minister explained that providing free electricity directly reduces operational overheads for small and marginal cultivators, enabling them to expand acreage and irrigate multiple cropping cycles. This decisive agrarian intervention has significantly boosted state foodgrain production, stabilized groundwater irrigation, and enhanced farmer incomes across drought-prone and delta districts.
