Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended affectionate International Workers Day greetings to laborers and working-class families across the world, reiterating that the Dravidian model administration is fundamentally committed to protecting labor dignity and expanding socioeconomic safeguards. Stalin highlighted that within its first year in office, the state government implemented numerous progressive welfare schemes specifically structured to improve working conditions, workplace safety, and social security for unorganized and organized laborers alike.
The Chief Minister emphasized that governance must extend far beyond ceremonial greetings by actively creating durable institutional mechanisms that uplift workers livelihoods on the ground. He detailed administrative actions taken to revitalize unorganized workers welfare boards, expedite pension disbursements, expand accidental insurance coverage, and guarantee fair minimum wages across key industrial, construction, and agricultural sectors.
Stalin affirmed that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has historically championed trade union rights, occupational safety, and legislative protections for the working class. He pledged that the government will continue to stand as an unfailing shield for working families, ensuring that economic development translates into enhanced living standards, social dignity, and universal welfare across all employment sectors throughout Tamil Nadu.
