Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin called upon the people of Tamil Nadu to unite wholeheartedly in extending vital humanitarian assistance to the citizens of Sri Lanka who are enduring severe economic distress and crippling shortages of essential provisions. Demonstrating immediate organizational commitment, Stalin announced that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party will donate one crore rupees to the Chief Minister Public Relief Fund, while all DMK members of the legislative assembly will contribute one full month of their salaries.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the shared cultural bonds, deep historical ties, and geographical proximity between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka compel compassionate, timely solidarity during unprecedented humanitarian emergencies.
