Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated a massive suite of completed civic infrastructure projects executed at a cumulative cost of 518 crore rupees by the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department. The completed works include specialized recreational parks designed for differently abled children, modern road overbridges, comprehensive drinking water supply schemes, and modern sewage treatment facilities across urban local bodies.

The Chief Minister emphasized that urban development under the Dravidian model is guided by the fundamental imperative of providing superior living standards, clean public environments, and universal basic amenities for all citizens. He highlighted that establishing barrier-free inclusive playgrounds allows children with special needs to play safely, fostering inclusive community spaces where every family feels valued and supported.

Stalin pointed out that modern water supply distribution networks and decentralized sewage treatment facilities are vital to safeguarding public health and preserving urban water bodies from ecological pollution. He instructed municipal authorities to maintain strict oversight over civic assets and ensure uninterrupted municipal services for residents. Concluding his remarks, Stalin reiterated that the state government will continue investing heavily in resilient urban infrastructure to create livable, healthy, and prosperous cities throughout Tamil Nadu.
