Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin formally released the book The Dalit Truth, a comprehensive anthology of essays compiled and edited by former civil servant K. Raju documenting the historical struggles, constitutional rights, and lived realities of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Stalin characterized the publication as an essential contemporary work that provides vital intellectual clarity on anti-caste struggles across India.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the book serves as an indispensable educational resource, capturing both the systemic structural challenges and the resilient agency of oppressed communities. Stalin declared that the DMK was founded on the bedrock of radical social justice and will eternally stand as an impenetrable shield safeguarding the dignity, affirmative rights, and socio-economic empowerment of marginalized populations.
Stalin observed that political democracy remains incomplete without substantive social democracy, echoing Dr. B.R. Ambedkar foundational warnings. He emphasized that the Dravidian model administration actively implements policies ensuring equal educational opportunities, land rights, and institutional representation for Dalits and Adivasis. Reaffirming the state government ideological alignment with the anti-caste movement, Stalin asserted that progressive literary works help build a more egalitarian, rational, and just society.
