Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin visited the Nilgiris district to distribute substantial welfare assistance to thousands of local beneficiaries and announce key infrastructure and development projects tailored for the hill region. Continuing his comprehensive tour across all thirty-eight districts, Stalin personally handed over financial aid, patta land documents, housing subsidies, and livelihood equipment to eligible citizens gathered at a district-level convention.

Addressing administrative officials and the public, the Chief Minister instructed district collectors, tahsildars, and block-level officers to ensure that welfare programs reach the outermost, vulnerable families living in remote tea estates and hill hamlets. Stalin unveiled specific developmental schemes for the Nilgiris, including road upgrades, eco-tourism enhancements, tea smallholder support, and modern clinical diagnostic equipment for the Udhagamandalam government hospital. He highlighted that hilly terrains present distinctive logistical difficulties, requiring public servants to demonstrate exceptional responsiveness.

Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian model of administration evaluates governance success by how effectively public resources uplift the most disadvantaged sections.
