Editorial context

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the state's first Youth Skill Festival organized at the historic Queen Mary's College campus in Chennai. Launching the employment-oriented initiative, Stalin recalled his political participation during student protests decades ago when previous rulers attempted to demolish the century-old women's institution. He expressed profound emotional pride in returning to the protected heritage campus to unveil state initiatives aimed at equipping young graduates with market-ready industry skills.

The Youth Skill Festival brought together leading industrial employers, vocational training providers, and thousands of job-seeking students from across Tamil Nadu. Stalin emphasized that empowering youth with modern technological proficiencies, digital literacy, and specialized trade certifications constitutes a top economic priority under the Dravidian model governance. He noted that equipping educated youth with job-ready qualifications ensures higher household incomes and accelerates the state's transition toward a high-value knowledge economy.

Stalin affirmed that the government will establish regular skill fairs across all tier-two and tier-three municipal corporations. He reiterated that expanding accessible vocational training bridges regional employment gaps and enables Tamil Nadu youth to compete successfully in global job markets.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
