DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed warm appreciation to party units across Tamil Nadu for celebrating former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's 99th birth anniversary with constructive public welfare activities. Stalin noted that party functionaries and cadres across districts organized ideological seminars, blood donation and healthcare camps, charity distributions, and porkizhi presentations to movement veterans. He praised grassroots party workers as the living roots that sustain the sprawling banyan tree of the Dravidian movement.
The party president highlighted that commemorating Kalaignar's life through selfless public assistance embodies the core ideology of the DMK. By organizing free specialized medical screenings, distributing groceries to impoverished families, and supporting disabled citizens, party members translate political ideals into everyday compassion. Stalin emphasized that honoring veteran pioneers with cash awards ensures that the sacrifices of older cadres are remembered with respect and gratitude by the younger generation.
Stalin called upon the party rank and file to continue working with determination to take the state government's welfare schemes to every household. He concluded that dedicated public service remains the truest tribute to Kalaignar's enduring leadership and revolutionary legacy.
