DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin attended a major party function in Tiruvallur West district to honor senior pioneers who dedicated their lives to building the Dravidian movement. Stalin personally presented porkizhi cash purses to hundreds of veteran party functionaries, expressing deep gratitude for their enduring sacrifices during past political struggles. He recalled that the DMK achieved governance through the tireless grassroots efforts of dedicated cadres who withstood political intimidation and endured imprisonment to defend party ideals.
Addressing the gathering, Stalin emphasized that veteran party workers serve as guiding beacons for the younger generation of cadres and elected representatives. He urged newly elected district functionaries to show utmost respect to senior pioneers and consult them on local organizational matters. Stalin highlighted that the party's current electoral dominance and administrative achievements stem directly from the ideological foundation laid by Periyar, Anna, and Kalaignar Karunanidhi.
The Chief Minister instructed party units across all districts to identify and assist ailing or impoverished veterans through dedicated party welfare funds. He affirmed that the DMK will always honor and safeguard its founding stalwarts who nurtured the Dravidian movement through decades of struggle.
