Chief Minister M.K. Delivering an address at the Sportstar South Sports Conclave organized by Sportstar in Chennai, Stalin highlighted that the state government is proactively modernizing sports stadiums, establishing rural sports academies, and offering generous financial incentives to nurture world-class athletes. He commended the conclave as a timely initiative preceding the 44th International Chess Olympiad.

Tamil Nadu's sports policy aims to identify and cultivate athletic talent from rural schools and underprivileged communities, ensuring equal access to scientific coaching, modern equipment, and sports nutrition. Stalin pointed out that hosting prestigious international fixtures, such as the global Chess Olympiad near Mamallapuram, showcases Tamil Nadu's organizational excellence, state-of-the-art facilities, and warm hospitality to the world.
