Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid foundation stones for developmental works valued at 581 crore rupees and distributed welfare assistance to 80,750 beneficiaries across Karur district. Addressing an enthusiastic public assembly, Stalin recalled Karunanidhi's historic first legislative electoral contest from Kulithalai in Karur in 1957, which began an undefeated sixty-year parliamentary journey. Moved by the massive reception, Stalin stated that the vibrant gathering reflected widespread public approval for the DMK administration's welfare policies.

The developmental package for Karur includes rural drinking water schemes, road expansions, irrigation canal improvements, new bridge constructions, and modern healthcare facilities. Stalin personally handed over welfare assistance, including sewing machines, crop loan waivers, self-help group credit assistance, and land title deeds to underprivileged families. He emphasized that the state government designs welfare interventions to stimulate local economies, generate employment, and support agricultural resilience across the Cauvery basin.

The Chief Minister highlighted that public service delivery must be executed with empathy and administrative speed. Stalin assured citizens that district authorities will monitor project timelines strictly, ensuring infrastructure assets are completed without cost overruns.
