Chief Minister M.K. Stalin visited households in an Arundhathiyar settlement, reflecting on the enduring transformative impact of the three percent internal reservation policy. Stalin recalled that as Minister for Local Administration under former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, he had the privilege of piloting the landmark legislation in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in 2009. Seeing young women and men from the community now working as doctors, engineers, and government officials brought immense personal fulfillment.

The three percent exclusive quota within the Scheduled Caste reservation was crafted specifically to address severe socio-economic marginalization within the Dalit community. Stalin highlighted that without targeted internal sub-categorization, benefits rarely reached the most disadvantaged groups. Over the past decade, this policy enabled thousands of Arundhathiyar youth to enter higher education and civil services. During his visit, Stalin spent time listening to residents recount how their children entered professional colleges and secured stable public sector employment.

The Chief Minister affirmed that true social justice requires constant vigilance and proactive state intervention to uplift the most deprived sections. Stalin pledged that his government will protect affirmative action statutes, expand skill training, and ensure comprehensive socio-economic equity across Tamil Nadu.
