Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that Tamil Nadu secured industrial investment commitments totaling 2.20 lakh crore rupees since the DMK administration assumed office, surpassing official targets despite pandemic disruptions. Highlighting the state's rapid economic resurgence, Stalin noted that while previous administrations relegated industrial growth to promotional advertisements, his government transformed investment attraction into verifiable administrative achievements. He characterized this industrial progress as inclusive social development designed to create high-skilled employment across diverse regions.
The 2.20 lakh crore rupee investment pipeline spans advanced manufacturing, electric vehicle production, renewable energy, electronics hardware, and biotechnology. Stalin emphasized that the state's industrial policy deliberately disperses new factories across tier-two and tier-three districts, preventing regional imbalances and generating localized job opportunities for educated youth. By providing transparent single-window clearances, reliable power grids, and skilled technical labor, Tamil Nadu has reinforced its standing as India's premier manufacturing destination.
The Chief Minister affirmed that economic growth under the Dravidian model aims for holistic social prosperity rather than narrow corporate enrichment. Stalin pledged that his administration will continue introducing investor-friendly policies, expanding industrial corridors, and ensuring sustainable industrialization that generates quality employment for all communities.
