Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that public health authorities administered 17,55,364 COVID-19 vaccine doses during a single statewide mega vaccination camp conducted across Tamil Nadu. Commending the extraordinary efforts of medical personnel, nursing staff, village health nurses, and civic volunteers, Stalin highlighted that proactive community outreach remains vital to shield citizens from emerging viral variants. He cautioned that the coronavirus threat has not completely subsided and urged unvaccinated residents to protect themselves.

The mega vaccination drive established thousands of accessible booths across rural primary health centres, urban community halls, railway stations, and bus terminals. Health workers conducted door-to-door outreach to identify senior citizens, eligible teenagers, and individuals due for precaution doses. Stalin noted that large-scale vaccination drives successfully averted healthcare strain by preventing severe hospitalizations and reducing transmission across congested residential neighborhoods.

The Chief Minister urged citizens to take civic ownership of public health guidelines by completing their prescribed vaccination courses without delay. Stalin reaffirmed that the state health department will organize additional localized camps to reach underserved populations, rural hamlets, and industrial labor clusters, ensuring complete immunization coverage and sustained public safety across all thirty-eight districts.
