Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin congratulated eminent scientist Dr. Nallathamby Kalaiselvi on her historic appointment as the first woman Director General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Hailing from Ambasamudram in Tirunelveli district, Dr. Kalaiselvi made history by taking charge of India's premier scientific and industrial research network comprising dozens of state-of-the-art laboratories.
